Geo Dobre

Geo Dobre is the first olive oil sommelier in Romania and the co-founder of Măslinescu, an ultra-premium olive oil concept focused on both retail and education.

After nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, PR, and sales—working in print media and later in international consumer electronics companies—he chose a different path: to build a project centered on quality, taste, and product expertise.

Through Măslinescu, Geo brings to Romania some of the world’s most awarded extra virgin olive oils, working directly with producers from multiple countries. The concept introduced the first olive oil tasting room in Romania and has grown into a curated selection of over 200 varieties from 25 producers.

Beyond retail, Măslinescu is actively involved in quality control alongside producers, from cultivation to production, and is also the organizer of MasliFEST, the first olive oil festival in Romania.
